On Friday, the government scam known as healthcare.gov had another massive failure:
The Obamacare website had another major stumble on Friday when the White House revealed it sent hundreds of thousands of customers bad tax information. <Yahoo Finance, link>
This should surprise no one, because Barack Obama and his corrupt team have lied repeatedly about so-called “fixes” to the broken system known as Obamacare.
Way back in November 2013, an Obama minion admitted a rather shocking truth to a Congressional Committee:
A crucial system for making payments to insurers from people who enroll in that federal Obamacare marketplace has yet to be built, a senior government IT official admitted Tuesday.
The official, Henry Chao, visibly stunned Rep. Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) when he said under questioning before a House subcommittee that a significant fraction of HealthCare.gov—30 to 40 percent of it—has yet to be constructed.
“We still need to build the payments system to make the payments [to insurance companies] in January,” testified Chao, deputy chief information officer of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the federal agency that operates HealthCare.gov. <source>
NEWS FLASH: it still isn’t built.
From Politico.com a few days ago:
The “back end” of the Obamacare website still isn’t properly wired to the health insurance companies… <Politico.com, link>
But wait, the Obama administration said it would be fixed by “mid-March” 2014, and then on 4/25/14 revised the date of the “fix” again:
The Obama administration posted a document earlier [in April 2014] indicating that insurers will continue to be paid through an “interim” accounting process — pretty much a spreadsheet and some informed estimates — until at least September. When the permanent system eventually goes live, it could lead to a massive correction that either exposes taxpayers to more costs or puts pressure on insurance companies to raise prices. <Politico.com, source>
September 2014? Was it fixed?
From two days ago, 2/20/15:
Subsidy payments aren’t automated, so the insurers get payments based on estimates. …Instead of a swift process, health plans use clunky workarounds and manual spreadsheets.
Your government at work, under the leadership of an America-hating bureaucrat.
So we have a government-run system with over 11 million people “enrolled” (under threat of IRS penalties if they didn’t enroll) for which no back end yet exists.
Barack Hussein Obama is a con artist — the greatest who ever lived, in fact — and in plain sight had his team labor to fix the front end of Obamacare while ignoring the back end, in the hope that enough people would take their eyes off of the flimflam that is this law.
The article quoted an “insurance industry official”, who had this to say:
You’re not going to find a lot of customer-facing issues. It’s more like you lift up the hood, and that’s where the problems are.
Right, just take a look “under the hood” to see the truth, again: the law must be repealed as soon as possible.
