We know that the Obama administration’s operation Fast & Furious resulted in over 2,000 assault weapons being given to Mexican criminals, including drug cartels, and we know that a U.S. border agent was killed with one of those weapons.
But thanks to a specious claim of executive privilege by the Obama administration and endless stonewalling by the Justice department, the full truth is not yet known about the terrible decisions the Obama regime made during this American tragedy.
The latest news is that Obama and Holder are playing for more delays:
Attorney General Eric Holder is again asking a federal court to delay the transfer of disputed documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious to a House committee. <Politico, link>
And what time line is Obama’s goal?
Isn’t it obvious?
If that process does not begin until Jackson rules definitively on the the executive privilege claim President Barack Obama has made for many of the documents, the timeline for the case being resolved could begin to approach the end of the Obama administration.
Ah yes, the “end of the Obama administration”.
Perhaps they fear that the “end” might come sooner than scheduled if the truth about Fast & Furious came to light sooner.
Or the truth about IRS abuse of political opponents.
Or the truth about Benghazi.
