Will Barack Obama get away with it again?
He won a second term by lying repeatedly about the consequences of Obamacare — saying no one would have to lose their plans, or their doctors, if they didn’t want to, and saying that the average family would save $2,500 per year.
But in addition to these huge lies he also won by pushing most Obamacare changes into 2014 (remember that the law passed in 2009…). He knew he was destroying health care for the majority of Americans, and he knew that if the truth came to light before the 2012 election he might lose the presidency, so the law delayed its diabolical provisions until the 2014 – 2017 period, which is now heavily underway.
But now that he faces potential losses in this year’s Congressional midterm elections, he is going to gut his own law AGAIN and attempt to delay certain painful provisions for another year in hopes that enough Americans will be dumb enough not to notice that once the election is over, they’ll be ripped to shreds by the law anyway.
The Obama administration is set to announce another major delay in implementing the Affordable Care Act, easing election pressure on Democrats.
As early as this week, according to two sources, the White House will announce a new directive allowing insurers to continue offering health plans that do not meet ObamaCare’s minimum coverage requirements.
Prolonging the “keep your plan” fix will avoid another wave of health policy cancellations otherwise expected this fall.
The cancellations would have created a firestorm for Democratic candidates in the last, crucial weeks before Election Day. <source>
By the way, he cannot do this, according to the Constitution. Laws can only be changed through collaboration with the legislative branch of government.
But he does not care about the Constitution and is gambling, again, that Americans will not protest.
Will it work?
