You know that Obamacare needs to be repealed when its supporters say things like the following:
The ACA is the social-policy equivalent of the Pentagon’s apocryphal $800 hammer. <LINK>
Such is the verdict rendered by Robert Kuttner of The American Prospect, writing today in the Huffington Post.
Hilarious from a guy who actually says he supports the law!
The idea that the federal government can manage American health care in a cost-effective manner is a complete joke when we all know how expensive things get via government procurement (the proverbial $800 hammer), and I want to thank Mr. Kuttner for reminding us.
He also had this to say:
But about half of America’s uninsured will not be helped, and a lot of people who have employer-provided insurance will find their premiums rising. (The Wall Street Journal recently reported that because the mandate will cause more employees to sign up for company-provided insurance that they previously declined, employer costs will rise and businesses are planning to pass these higher costs along to all employees through higher premium-shares, deductibles and co-pays. Obama and Democrats are likely to get the blame.
That’s right, most of the U.S. population is going to get screwed by HIGHER PREMIUMS and LOWER SERVICE and WORSE DEDUCTIBLES and CO-PAYS.
But that last line….really now Robert: you think Democrats are “likely” to get the blame?
Let me remind you of an amazing fact:
Not ONE SINGLE REPUBLICAN in the House and Senate voted for the monstrosity known as Obamacare.
So as it continues to crash and burn, like the Hindenburg, Democrats WILL be blamed.
And they deserve it.
And they will pay at the ballot box next year and in 2016 as Obamacare continues to destroy the middle class.
That is, unless it is repealed, as it very well must be.
