The irony never ceases to amaze me: Liberals feared Fascism under George Bush and Dick Cheney, who blundered their way into Iraq and took away no choices from anyone here at home, yet Liberals can’t see the naked Fascism of Barack Hussein Obama, as enabled by Chief Justice John Roberts and then millions of self-deluded voters in 2012.
This paragraph is so simple it’s beautiful, in all its Obama ugliness:
Dentist Aaron McLemore of Louisville, Ky., makes more than $100,000 a year and doesn’t qualify for any subsidy on the Obamacare exchange. The 31-year-old’s current policy is being canceled. A new policy from the exchange will more than double his monthly premium and boost his annual deductible to $7,000.
His higher costs aren’t subsidizing lower-income policyholders, whose subsidy has already been paid by the government. But he is providing a subsidy in another way: The Affordable Care Act requires him to buy a policy with features he doesn’t need.
“Seeing as I’m a single male with no kids or dependents, and I’m paying for pediatric dental care and maternity care, it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me,” McLemore says. <source>
There you have it: the iron fist of government being brought down on a dentist.
Liberals often get confused about the difference between this abuse and the government imposition of taxes on citizens, or mandatory auto insurance laws. In fact even Supreme Court Justices get confused about this – one in particular, whose name shall live in infamy.
I am ever-happy to help explain the three big differences:
Obamacare, as backed up by John Roberts who failed in his duty to defend the Constitution, forces all citizens to buy products from private companies (i.e., insurance companies). This by itself makes it completely different from compulsory taxes, because if you don’t like your taxes you can at least vote to change the legislature and ultimately the tax code; however you cannot vote to change the insurance companies. This mis-match puts a huge barrier between you and your ability to affect your own life.
There is no opting out of this insurance, as there is for example in auto insurance. Imagine you live in Manhattan and don’t own a car…how would you like it if Mayor Bloomberg forced you to buy auto insurance and used the IRS to enforce this against you? Likewise, can you imagine if you owned a $12,000 car with a $750 per year policy and were forced to pay for a policy that covered you for a $50,000 loss from theft, which would increase the premium to $2,000 per year…
With Obamacare, if you breathe the air you must buy the insurance, and you must buy insurance that covers far more health events than will ever affect you (maternity for a single man?).
And with Obamacare, an insurance death spiral will develop, in which –>not enough healthy people sign up and buy policies that make no sense for them –> leaving older, more costly customers for insurance companies to cover without enough money –> resulting in never-ending increases in premiums for the older customers –> resulting in policy abandonment by people who can no longer afford to pay such high premiums –> thereby putting more financial pressure on the remaining policyholders –> ultimately ending in bankruptcy of the insurance company and NO ONE being covered.
Along the way to the death spiral, the paying citizen will see premiums skyrocket, and he or she will not be able to do anything about it.
Most importantly of all, consumption of health care by each of us is very different from our “consumption” of the U.S. Military and other federal government services. Federal taxes provide funds for government services that themselves do not require each citizen to exercise a blizzard of choices: which missile gets fired from an Air Force jet in live combat next week is not a decision that affects your day-to-day life. Likewise, how the government manages various departments, gives raises to good performers, etc., impacts you in no way at all: your choices about how you are living do not come in to play.
However, which doctor you see, and for what reasons, and how often, and what tests are done, and what tests are not done, and how tests are interpreted based on your specific case, and how you will decided to proceed among various treatment options, and how you will decide to live (healthier eating? drug therapies? a combination?) — there are literally tens of thousands of choices you will make in a lifetime of monitoring and caring for your health and well being.
Obamacare is a massive intrusion into this array of choices, and it increasingly will make the choices for you.
Obama’s big lie, that you can keep your doctor and your plan if you like them, has already shown you the truth of this.
So this is fascism, not just taxation.
Obamacare will continue to destroy our bank accounts, our jobs, and our very lives, and I ask Liberals again: DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE, and do you think you will be exempted from this nightmare.
And are you earning enough money to avoid your eventual total dependency on government bureaucrats, which is what Obama wants for you?
Do you want a life in which your choices are controlled by people in various ministries in Washington DC?
Do you still think “It can’t happen here”?
Are you awake?
