A great friend of my father’s shared with me a very nice beat-down of the Obama/Kerrey bumbling on Syria. Get a load of some early lines in the piece by Daniel Henninger:
In the interplay between Barack Obama and John Kerrey, it’s not obvious which one is Laurel and which one is Hardy. But diplomatic slapstick is not funny. No one wants to live in a Laurel and Hardy presidency. In a Laurel and Hardy presidency, red lines vanish, shots across the bow are word balloons, and a display of U.S. power with the whole world watching is going to be “unbelievably small.” <source>
Slapstick is an appropriate word for the casual, devil-may-care attitude displayed by Barack Obama on all issues great and small.
Henninger goes on to deliver a devastating indictment of the failed presidency of Hussein Obama, leaving Henninger openly despairing of the long three years Obama still has with which to destroy our nation:
The world has effectively lost its nominal leader, the U.S. president. Jimmy Carter’s Iranian hostage crisis began on Nov. 4, 1979. One quick year later, the American people turned to Ronald Reagan. There will be no such chance next year or the year after that—not till November 2016.
The Obama cancer attacking America’s body and soul was something that we all had hoped would be thrown aside in the 2012 election, but it was not to be, and so now we are in the hell we had feared.
A 40-month run of Laurel and Hardy’s America will endanger everyone.
Indeed it will, and so what it our hope at this point?
