It’s Christmas early, folks.
I wrote yesterday about how a federal court ruled against the Obama administration on its circumvention of the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste law previously passed by Congress — another example of this administration’s unconstitutional conduct, but this time struck down by the judicial branch (Court Sharply Rebukes Obama on Yucca Mountain Lawlessness).
But I left out the best part, which occurred to me while driving later in the day: Harry Reid, who has been vehemently against using Yucca Mountain as a nuclear waste repository, reportedly dismissed the federal court’s ruling in very extreme terms, and for a very particular reason that can now be used to defund Obamacare.
Enjoy Mr. Reid’s line of reasoning on the ruling vis-a-vis the Yucca Mountain law.
Reid, a Democrat, called the appeals court decision “fairly meaningless,” noting that Congress has nearly eliminated funding for Yucca and is unlikely to restore it.
Ah ha: he points out that a federal court upholding the law is “fairly meaningless” because Congress has eliminated the law’s funding…
“This isn’t even a bump in the road,” Reid said. “This, without being disrespectful to the court, means nothing.”
WOW: the federal court ruling is “not even a bump in the road” on ignoring a piece of federal legislation. This is GREAT NEWS!
Mr. Reid continues:
Even if the Obama administration moves forward on the application, “there’s no money” for Yucca Mountain, Reid said. “We’ve cut out funding for many years now and there’s none in our budget to start it.”
Double-WOW, and there we have it, Congressional Republicans: Harry Reid is saying, YES YOU CAN defund Obamacare and make it stick.
Thank you, sir, for your rhetorical clarity and for boxing yourself in on the most important issue of Obama’s fascist takeover of our nation, and now let’s make sure Republican legistlators do a “Yucca Mountain” on Obamacare and restore freedom to us all.
