Obamacare’s savagery and destruction is more fully seen every day.
Democrats continue to try to dismiss the evidence that Obamacare will dramatically increase the cost of insurance for people who buy it on their own. But on Thursday, the Ohio Department of Insurance announced that, based on the rates submitted by insurers to date, the average individual-market health insurance premium in 2014 will come in around $420, “representing an increase of 88 percent” relative to 2013. “We have warned of these increases,” said Lt. Gov. Mary Taylor in a statement. “Consumers will have fewer choices and pay much higher premiums for their health insurance starting in 2014.” <source>
Supporters of Obamacare often criticized the “employer-based model” of American healthcare (pre-Obamacare), where being on a payroll ensured that most Americans had very good access to affordable health care, by saying: “What about individuals who are not employed, or self-employed? — it’s terrible and it needs to be fixed!”
Well let me tell you: Obamacare’s “FIX” of the problem is, as headlines are reporting every day, to INCREASE THE COST of individual policies dramatically.
Here is a lovely headline last week regarding the same slap in the face of hard working Americans <link>:
Rate Shock: In California, Obamacare To Increase Individual Health Insurance Premiums By 64-146%
Sound good, Obama supporters?
One of the most serious flaws with Obamacare is that its blizzard of regulations and mandates drives up the cost of insurance for people who buy it on their own. Obamacare, in fact, will increase individual-market premiums in California by as much as 146 percent. <source>
And then this (emphasis added):
This problem will be especially acute when the law’s main provisions kick in on January 1, 2014, leading many to worry about health insurance “rate shock.”
I think this phrase neatly sums up the state of danger, stress, suffering, and potential death that Barack Obama is putting this country in.
In fact, let’s look at the definition of medical shock, a life-threatening situation for a patient:
Shock is defined as a condition where the tissues in the body don’t receive enough oxygen and nutrients to allow the cells to function. This ultimately leads to cellular death, progressing to organ failure, and finally, if untreated, whole body failure and death. <source>
The analogies are almost too perfect as we survey what Barack Hussein Obama is doing to our nation and every citizen:
Cellular death: this is analogous to the millions of Americans who have still not found work since 2008, and to the millions of Americans who will suffer and die as a result of Obamacare;
Organ failure: this is analogous to all of our institutions of government that are being destroyed — in this case through their being turned into tools of a fascist state — by Barack Obama: the Justice Department, the IRS, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Judiciary, the U.S. Treasury, and on and on;
Whole Body failure and death: How long can we last as a nation of free men and women under this cruel regime?
The Obama Shock is here, a fact more people are waking up to every day.
