Boy was I wrong about my often-repeated prediction that Hillary Clinton would challenge Barack Obama for the 2012 nomination. Last year I went as far as to offer a timeline of events for Hillary’s Ted-Kennedy-like challenge of Jimmy Carter’s direct descendant, Barack Hussein Obama, a failed president who still occupies the White House.
Many Democrats were predicting the same thing. Back on August 5th, Ralph Nadar made some juicy headlines, as I wrote about in Nader Leads Obama Towards the 2012 Election Pain Cave:
“I would guess that the chances of there being a challenge to Obama in the primary are almost 100 percent.”
Everybody expected it — even hoped for it — because Barack Obama’s tenure has been distinguished by one disaster after another, including a few that hurt the Democratic party severely, such as the massive 2010 midterm election loss which cost Democrats their House majority.
Felonious Bill Clinton seemed to be the advance team wrecking ball for her assault, which I chronicled last year at this time in Bill Clinton Atones for Monica Ejaculation(s), Helps Wife Plan 2012 Run.
But she failed to launch, leaving her party, and America, and the world, to contend with the possibility that the Obama hoax (as Clint said) will continue for additional years.
Frank Bruni just wrote an interesting piece called “Haunted by Hillary” in which he called Hillary a “poltergeist in a pantsuit“, such is her hold on the Democratic party psyche regarding the 2016 election (he also called her “the grand phantom” of the convention).

The question is: Why didn’t she challenge the man her party secretly despises? One guess is that in her mind the downside — fracturing the party and maybe losing again to the same Hoax — was greater and/or more scary than the upside.
In any event, our country remains afflicted by perhaps the most malignant administration in history, and Hillary has done nothing to stop it.
