I have re-used the Barack Obama/Hugo Chavez photo, in which each man expresses real joy and camaraderie with the other, so many times that I won’t publish it again here.
But as we have come to expect, mr. Obama continues to support one of the most ruthless dictators in the world today — a real-live Marxist who has nationalized industries, jailed political opponents, and seized wealth from productive citizens to the point where he is literally impoverishing his nation.
President Barack Obama said in an interview broadcast late Tuesday that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez—a leftist leader who flaunts close ties with Iran and has become a bugbear for American conservatives—has not posed a “serious” threat to American national security.
“But overall my sense is that what Mr. Chavez has done over the last several years has not had a serious national security impact on us. <source>
Occasionally a nation political figure uses powerful, plain language to blast mr. Obama’s nefarious regime and saves us the time in having to find the appropriately harsh indictment.
Thank you, Senator Rubio, for saying these words:
His comments drew a sharp rebuke on Wednesday from Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, who branded the president “alarmingly naive” and said Obama had been “living under a rock when it comes to recognizing the national security threat posed by Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez.“
Rubio, often listed as a top contender to be Mitt Romney’s running mate, charged that Venezuela had worked to help Iran “in its attempts to expand its intelligence network throughout the hemisphere, facilitated money laundering activities that finance state sponsors of terrorism and provided a safe haven for FARC narco-terrorists, among many other actions.”
“Just yesterday, The Wall Street Journal detailed how Hugo Chavez circumvents U.S. and EU sanctions to help prop up the Assad regime in Syria. And even Obama’s own State Department belatedly but rightly expelled Chavez’s consul general in Miami for her ties to a plan to wage cyberattacks on the U.S.,” said Rubio.
Unfortunately for us all, mr. Obama has not been living under a rock: he has been living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue as a result of one of the worst cases of crowd-psychological projection in human history.
But by now the euphoria of 2008 is dead and buried, even among loyal Obama supporters, who, in private moments, wonder how such promise was lost.
The answer is easy: such “promise” was a fiction, a mirage, a monumental fraud. How could you not have known this at the time.
But that’s okay as long as you know it now.
Or are you still lying to yourselves?
I honestly had to sit on this over night to try to understand how such an absolute dolt got elected to be president of this nation. This guy is an IDIOT! Talk about being out of touch, I am floored by his comments on Chavez, but further, enthused by the commentary of Rubio. I hope Rubio gets the nod from Romney to be the VP. I also hope Romney takes Obaba’s comments about Chavez and hammers the clown prince with his own foolish words..
