First there were the Wisconsin Democrats who fled the state rather than show up to vote on a key piece of legislation. This dereliction of duty was an outrage and an insult to those who fought and died for our democratic republic, in which elected legislators perform the role of representatives of the people.
Showing up, even for votes you know you’re going to lose, is what is required (as if anyone has to be told this, or reminded of this, but oh yes — we’re talking about Democrats of the modern variety).
And last week we saw Democrats at a national level abandon their posts instead of casting their votes, as the clown Nancy Pelosi led her colleagues out of the chamber rather than stand and be counted, as is their sworn duty, on the Eric Holder criminal contempt vote. Seventeen Democrats voted in favor of the criminal contempt charge, by the way, and in doing so they upheld the checks and balances required by the Constitution: the executive branch cannot ignore a Congressional subpoena for documents, and if it does, there must be consequences regardless of political affiliation.
This photograph is a portrait of the worst kind of Americans: which is to say those who would forsake the citizens who elected them. They are all Democrats, just as the run-aways in Wisconsin were all Democrats.
There is no worse shame.
Run away
Run away from here
Run away
Run away from here
Hide away in the lion’s den
Play with matches and get burned
Flyin’ high in an aeroplane
Run away, Run away, Run away <30>

I have to tell you my friend you have shown the truth about a majority of the democrat party, if they cannot win they refuse to uphold their sworn duty and if they have the power they ram it down right or wrong. I was watching a focus group on Saturday with Frank Lunz. He had some good guests on and one of them was a democrat who made some very strong statements, the most powerful statement he made was too many politicians will not say what needs to be said because they fear the truth could harm their reelection chances. Makes one wonder just how many spineless bastards we send out to stand our ground for us in Washington?
