Two and a half years ago Dan Patrick struck out on his own and launched what has become a nationally syndicated radio show. He started with a logo that was above average not only because it played on the symmetry of the name’s initials, but also because of its restraint. In the world of logos, discretion is the better part of valor.
And the other day some dim-witted souls (including Dan himself?) decided to butcher the logo and render it no better – and in fact worse – than other half-ass logos done by someone’s kid. First Dan scrapes the blackboard of our ears with Pat’s laryngitis, and now Dan scrapes the blackboard of our eyes with this junior-high art project. Graphic design is destiny, and Dan, you’re in trouble on this one.
